Brick Cleaning

Brick cleaning covers many areas of work from the removal of cementitious debris and other staining from new-build projects, the cleaning of dirt and grime from older buildings to the removal of paint and graffiti and the removal of unsightly efflorescence deposits.

Construction Cosmetics Ltd are able to carry out brick cleaning & other treatments to all of the above using water washing techniques and where necessary the use of specialist brick cleaning chemicals. In each case the brick cleaning work carried out by Construction Cosmetics Ltd is carried out to the current British Standard, BS6270: Part 1:1982

In many cases older buildings in the UK were constructed without a cavity between the two leaves of brickwork and after time the outer skin can become weathered and porous due to years of constant attention from the British climate thus allowing water to penetrate through to the inside of the building.

Construction Cosmetics can offer a treatment which, when applied to the outer surface, protects the brickwork from further water penetration for many years to come. The treatment is undetectable to the eye and as these treatments are all micro porous, they allow any residual moisture to escape thus aiding the drying out process.
